Sam Allen

Sam is a highly accomplished and trusted advisor at board level, bringing a rare combination of commercial acumen, governance expertise, and deep people insight.

Her earlier career spans 15 years across organisations including Sainsbury’s plc, Dunhill, and Greene King plc, where she served on the Board.

She subsequently spent nine years in senior leadership roles at international executive search firms, Whitehead Mann and Boyden, before founding Sam Allen Associates 17 years ago.

Reflecting the firm’s continued success and ambition to scale its Board practice while maintaining the highest standards, the business has since joined forces with Sainty Hird & Partners in 2026, combining Sam and her team’s expertise with a proven infrastructure to deliver outstanding board-level advisory and appointment work.

Sam holds an MBA and an MA in Employment Law, is a qualified commercial mediator, and is an accredited Board Performance practitioner.
